Can you spot errors or typos more easily now that you’re a writer? My father was fantastic at this, but then he was a linotype printer for 30 years. My wonderful mother-in-law sent me a clipping from the her newspaper about using the wrong word. When I see errors in our local newspaper, I laugh. I have been known to get a red marker to circle the gaffs. The wicked teacher side of me rears her ugly head–the witchy side of me wants to mail said corrections back to the newspaper.
This morning it is raining outside, what a delight except it is a like a sauna. Last night at the racetrack, I reigned once more as the only woman Bomber driver. At the pay window I had to rein in my anger as DH and I were cheated out of a few places of where we really finished.
